It Is Almost Fall...

and today in Minnesota the temperature started in the 40's.  I am ready to be getting back to Los Algodones where the temperature today is expected to be in the low 100's.  That may be a little warm but both Mike and I miss the children at The House and we miss Delia and we miss street tacos and the kids and the vendors and the kids.  Well, you get the picture.

Speaking of pictures,  these are some recent photos that Delia has taken.

There was a large gathering of children as the start of the school year approached.

This is the official back to school photograph; school started in mid August.   We saw so much growth in the little ones in this photo.

During the summer, Michelle learned to bake

and made these beautiful cakes.

The finished product was enjoyed by all!

The hard working gal does need to take a break once in a while.

Thanks to generous people, the girls have paper for school.

And all kinds of needed school supplies.

On those warm summer days, the cool floor felt good.

Table activities are always fun.

No one looks too thrilled in this photo although it is Fiesta Day at school.

During the summer, Mike and I have taken every opportunity we could find, to tell people about The House and the children.  We even talked with a fellow at the MN State Fair who operates the Spanish Radio Station.  He hasn't contacted me yet, but you never know... Now we are anxious to get back to the kids!  In another month, I will be posting from Pilot Knob.  As we look forward to the winter season, we are especially excited about two new opportunities.  It seems there is a group in Los Algodones who may want to help with the sponsorship of this safe place for children and I am sure many meetings will take place before it happens.  AND we are really looking forward to a mission trip by some adults and teens from Our Savior's Church in Cleveland, MN which will take place in November.  And, of course, we are preparing for the Annual Christmas Outreach to the village of Algodones.  We have a cargo trailer loaded with donations of bikes and toys and shoes and clothing and school supplies etc. etc. etc.  Many thanks to all the generous people of Minnesota (and North Dakota).

May God Bless You All and May He Help You Find Joy in Your Life.

Don't forget to listen when God whispers and respond when He nudges.
