Happy Halloween

Today is Halloween; a wonderful chance to help kids dress up and allow them to eat too much candy.  Thanks to Debbie and Dean, the children at the house had both those opportunities.  This is the second year this Yuma couple have treated the children to a Halloween celebration.  Debbie shops the days after for costumes for the next year.  Take a look at this year's event.

Some children came to The House already in costume.

This gal spent her first day at the house and I think she enjoyed it!

It takes concentration to carve pumpkins.

Costumes were tried on and discarded.

And there was lots of posing for photos.

I promised Debbie I would not publish a picture unless it was a good one and I think this is a wonderful photo of two girls having fun together!

Dean the Pumpkin... somehow he pulls it off.

A Grandma came to help.

These strange people were there.

I pray that someday we see her in this costume for real!

She is all skin and bones and today just bones.

Waiting...

Finally it is time...

We adults assumed positions in the street - no knocking on doors!

And

they

are off.

And when all the buckets were empty, it was time to sample the treats.

I had to pose with these two former attendees - missed them and it was great to see them.

It was a Halloween to remember.  Hope there aren't any tummy aches tonight.  Till next time

Please remember to listen when God whispers and respond when He nudges.
