Amigos

Friends!  In the past few months we have seen friendships develop between children and between adults.  This little one joined us for just about a month while parents were having some problems.  She spoke only English so it was tough for her to make friends but by her last day, she was communicating just fine as she played house with another little girl.

This was a dress up day for her...

but it didn't stop her from playing on one of her favorite toys.

This is the favorite toy of our youngest amigo.

Once in awhile, I get some of these pictures printed and it is always fun for everyone to take a look.

A long time friend of mine posted this idea on my facebook page.  Of course, I had to try it.

There were some interesting looks...

But if you add a little hot sauce...

It was just fine.

Bubbles are always a hit with all of us.

A friend in the park had a great recipe for playdough and made some for the kids.  We all enjoyed it!

It is just plain fun to watch the interactions between amigos and imagine what they are thinking

or acting out.  This one was pretty obvious... I even heard the word "cerveza" (beer).

Delia made delicious chocolate cookies one day - we all loved them!

As the months slide by, the skill levels of these youngsters greatly improve.

These amigos wanted to pose for the camera one day.

Peggy and Dick are a couple who winter in Yuma.  They regularly bring "fun things" to the house.  These stuffed animals are flashlights (that go off after 10 minutes) and they are a huge hit at siesta time.

Friendships...

It doesn't take long to build relationships and make friends with these children.

Temperatures here are topping 95 - it is soon time for us to head north.  Definitely not looking forward to leaving our friends behind.  Thanks Delia for taking such good care of our little amigos.

Please keep all of these children in your prayers and don't forget to Listen when God Whispers and Respond When He Nudges.
